If you’ve got a brilliant tv pilot idea, and maybe even an outline or a few scenes written, but are craving community, then this fast-paced class is for you! Over the course of four weeks, we will write and workshop up to 5 scenes/week, focusing on how to keep every scene engaging and moving the story forward. Toward that end, we’ll read and analyze award-winning TV pilots, and dive deep into a weekly craft topic to see it in play and better understand how to apply it to both our own writing and our feedback to each other. You will leave this class having made significant progress on (or even completed!) your draft, as well as with a complete set of notes and strategy for revision. This class is ideal for students who have completed one of GrubStreet’s Intro to TV Writing classes, and/or have a TV pilot beatsheet and/or outline ready to go.

This class will be hosted using live Zoom meetings! You will be able to participate in class via Zoom videoconference from wherever you’re most comfortable. All you’ll need is a laptop or a phone! About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting via Zoom–no need to download anything or sign up for Zoom in advance! If you have questions about remote learning, please feel free to reach out to [email protected] for more information.
