Writing Group: Café Comunidad for Latine Writers
150.00
Writing can feel like such a solitary act, especially when you belong to a community that is severely underrepresented in the literary world. To help alleviate that sense of isolation, this group provides encouragement and communal support for Latine Writers in a relaxed, low-stress environment. We'll meet for 90 minutes once a week for six weeks to write, connect, ask questions, seek advice, vent, and share snippets of our work, all while the instructor curates a focus-friendly café playlist. This is a facilitated group meeting without readings that will begin with a check-in and end with a check-out. The instructor will be available throughout each session for one-on-one conversations about anything writing related.
Class Format
This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!

Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.
