Do you have an idea for Netflix’s next bingewatch show? In this class, you’ll learn everything you need to write the pilot, and develop the show bible and series. Each week we will analyze a different TV pilot (including but not limited to The Good Place, Insecure, and Sex Education ) as we explore craft topics like structure, character, dialogue, formatting, etc. Weekly assignments will include creating beatsheets, outlines, character sketches, and, of course, writing scenes. Each week you’ll also have the opportunity to workshop your pages and receive feedback from the instructor and class.

You will come away with a logline, beatsheet, outline, and the opening scenes of your pilot, as well as the beginnings of your series bible and ideas for future revision. This class is for appropriate for writers who are just starting out, or those who have an idea, outline, or draft that they’d like to dust off.

*NOTE that while our handy dandy "Schedule" tab states a 6-7pm class time, there are actually no live meetings for this class! Weekly lessons and assignments open each Wednesday. Students will receive an invitation to Wet Ink, our online class platform, before 5pm on the first day of class.
