Unlock Your Story's Inciting Incident
75.00
Do you know the event that sets your story in motion? The inciting incident is an important beat in your story that moves your protagonist toward a new course of action. It's a gateway scene from the before to the after for your characters, from the what was to the what will be.
We'll debunk the myths about inciting incidents and review examples from published works. Then we'll unpack recommendations for making your story's inciting incident dynamic and compelling. By the end of the class, Particpants should be able to identify your story's inciting incident, have guidelines for a scene that engages readers and know where to place the scene in the narrative.
Class Format
This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!
