Got a book project that you can't seem to finish? We're here to help. We'll use a variety of accountability methods from writing together, to tracking word count, to checking in with a writing buddy. Bring your book-length project, in any genre, and we'll help you take meaningful next steps towards completion. Class will feature a combination of lectures and writing time. Lectures will cover the nuts-and-bolts of building a writing career. We'll start with discussing productivity, motivation strategies, and study the routines of working writers. We'll also cover revision techniques, as well as querying strategies for when you're done and tips for working with agents and editors.
You'll also get to have a one-on-one session with the instructor to check in about the progress of your work and next steps. You'll leave the class with a plan for how to accomplish your writing goals and next steps.

Class Format

This class will take place in-person at our Center for Creative Writing in Boston's Seaport neighborhood.
