The End
355.00
This is a class about break-ups, death, migrations, the end of the world. The end. *The end.* How do you write the end? We’ll spend this class figuring it out. Each week, we’ll read a story that shows a different end. We’ll look at how writers write nuclear apocalypse, ghosts, leaving home for a new, uncertain future. We’ll look at how writers actually *end* their stories by paying close attention to craft. We’ll practice writing ends of our own, with opportunities to share work. Possible authors we’ll consult include: Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Peter Orner, Viet Thanh Nguyen, and Yiyun Li, among others.
Scholarship Information
Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class.
