Writing THE scene can be tough. Some of us skim over it, skirt around it, or flat out avoid it. Others take it over the top, being more dramatic than daytime television. In this three-hour session we will examine published excerpts of death scenes, discuss the pacing, attention to detail, and precision of language. We will work complete writing exercises that will get you on track for the right scene for your story and send you on your way ready to tackle this difficult scene on your own. For this class it is best you come with a work in progress, but it could be used as a generative class as well.

Class Format

This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!
