This class is designed for any student who has just begun the process of thinking about writing a memoir. No writing experience is necessary. Within this 3-hour seminar you will learn what a memoir is, the different genres within memoir, and what basic elements constitute each. You will then go through a series of writing exercises that will jump-start their ideas. By the end of the class, students will have a solid understanding of the genre and a draft of writing from which to branch out from.

Class Format

This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!
