Small Pieces: The Mosaic Memoir
65.00
Inspired by flash and short shorts, this workshop introduces techniques for creating short pieces and arranging them into a longer memoir. We'll look at work by Natasha Trethewey, Sonja Livingston, Nick Flynn, and even a poem by Kevin Young. Writing exercises will prompt you to begin short, compelling pieces that you can later assemble into more complex narrative. If you're just starting out and find a lengthy project intimidating or looking for new inspiration for your memoir in progress, this session can help you find a way to move forward.
Class Format
This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!
