Knights of the Round Table: Writing Heroic Fiction
75.00
In this workshop, we will craft heroes of courage and greatness by looking at various memorable characters that have populated literature for eons: from the meek hero to the bold and brave, we will consider what gives them their lasting power, enough that readers return to again and again. We will look at the archetypes of outlaws, tricksters, the unrequited lover, the reluctant and willing, the hidden jewel, and more. This session will Include readings from diverse legends around the world and cultures. Students will leave with an opening scene, map, and character sketch to begin building on a larger hero's tale of their own.
