You've heard about Scrivener, the software that helps writers get organized. Maybe you've downloaded the free trial and poked around before getting overwhelmed by all the bells and whistles. Or maybe you're already using it, but suspect you could be getting a lot more out of it, or want a refresher. This class is for you!

Whether you're just starting out on a book-length work or you're deep into your twentieth revision, Scrivener can help you organize your thoughts, improve your writing process, and finish your manuscript. In this four-week online class, you will learn not only how to use Scrivener, but how to customize it to best suit your particular project, and improve your writing process. Each week will be dedicated to a different area of Scrivener –– the binder, the editor, and the inspector –– and then practicing and applying the skills we learn to our own projects, with the last week dedicated to learning how to compile and back up our work, and coming up with a management plan and next steps for our own projects. There will also be an optional live video conference each week for students to ask questions, troubleshoot, etc.

You will leave with a fuller understanding of what tools are best for your project and a get the most out of your writing, and a roadmap for your own project. Best of all, students in this class will also receive a 20% discount on Scrivener software!

PLEASE NOTE: the instructor uses the Mac version of Scrivener 3, so if you are a Windows user, features may differ (Scrivener 3 has not yet been released for Windows, so in addition to having a different interface, many of the tools available on the Mac version are not yet available on Windows). If you don’t have Scrivener 3, you can download a free trial before class begins

*NOTE that while our handy dandy "Schedule" tab states a 6-7pm class time, there are actually no live meetings for this class! Weekly lessons and assignments open each Wednesday. Students will receive an invitation to Wet Ink, our online class platform, before 5pm on the first day of class.
