Generative Poetry Seminar - Remote!
This three hour seminar focuses on writing poetry! We will do a few generative prompts including an exploration of sensory engagement with questions like: Which elements of craft and style can be brought to the page in order to lure the reader's senses into play? We will read a few poems as a group, discuss the structure as related to prompts, what it is and what it is not, and then write our own poems. This is a great class to get you out of a writing slump, to generate new work, and spend a few hours doing what you love to do–write!
This class will be hosted using live Zoom meetings! You will be able to participate in class via Zoom videoconference from wherever you’re most comfortable. All you’ll need is a laptop or a phone! About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting via Zoom–no need to download anything or sign up for Zoom in advance! If you have questions about remote learning, please feel free to reach out to [email protected] for more information.
