In this course, students will learn the essential skills and techniques for adapting a novel into a successful screenplay. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities of the adaptation process and study successful examples of novels adapted into screenplays. Students will learn about the key elements of screenwriting, including structure, character development, dialogue, and pacing, and how to apply these elements to their adaptations.

Whether you're a novelist looking to adapt your work for the screen, or a screenwriter seeking to gain insight into the adaptation process, this course is the perfect opportunity to improve your skills and deepen your understanding of how to bring a novel to life on the big screen.
