Every publisher wants their authors to “have a platform,” which includes a social media presence. But managing that presence can be both confusing and time-consuming. Social media professor Crystal King shares with you a bevy of tips and tricks to help you organize your time and easily create a system that enables you to not just manage your social platform, but to enjoy doing so too. In this session, we will be discussing:

-- Why you shouldn't wait till you have a book out to begin building your social media strategy.
-- How to use the 80/20 rule to provide value to followers while making social easier for you to manage.
-- How to use various clipping and scheduling tools to streamline your time.
-- Tips and tricks for each of the social channels to help you maximize your efforts.

This class will be hosted using live Zoom meetings! You will be able to participate in class via Zoom videoconference from wherever you’re most comfortable. All you’ll need is a laptop or a phone! About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting via Zoom–no need to download anything or sign up for Zoom in advance! If you have questions about remote learning, please feel free to reach out to [email protected] for more information.
