Advanced Social Media for Authors
So you have a Twitter account but aren't sure how to find followers. Your Facebook page has a few fans, but they're mostly your friends. You're on Goodreads but aren't sure how it's useful. Your blog is languishing. And on top of it all, there's Pinterest, Google+, Instagram, Vine, and who knows what else out there. How does a writer stay on top of it all? How do you choose which channel is right for you and your book?
In this class, you'll find the answers to these questions, as well as the top ten things a writer needs to know to be successful using social media.
This session is for authors who already understand the basics of social media, are actively using it, and are interested in taking it to the next level. This is not a course for beginners. We will not be talking about how to set up accounts, or doing a deep dive into explaining what the various channels are.
Please come to class with a laptop or tablet and, if desired, a mobile smartphone with app capability.
