Who Gets to Write What? Writers of Color Group Meeting Tomorrow!

What exactly is cultural appropriation and are we even using the term correctly? Do limits to artistic freedom really exist, and if so, how are they made?

Join us at GrubStreet’s Writers of Color meeting this Thursday, October 20th at 6:00pm for a discussion about cultural appropriation and the associated arguments surrounding the phenomenon. The meeting is free, and food and refreshments will be provided. While the issue of cultural appropriation is important to all writers, this particular conversation will be primarily for and among writers of color. We invite interested white writers to attend as well, and to assume a listening role for the first 2/3rds of the conversation.
