Together, We Did It! GrubStreet $8m Goal Reached!

We are overjoyed to share that after years of advocacy, planning, construction, and fundraising: we did it!

Together as a community, we have officially reached (and surpassed!) our $8 million campaign goal to build and launch our brand-new home. With the GrubStreet community's support, we are set to complete the final touches and launch this new center, with expanded accessible classrooms, a literary stage, a bookstore, and ample community space.

...for making a gift to the capital campaign
...for signing the petition in support of our bid for the space
...for showing up for this community in every way possible

During a year of profound heartbreak and loss, the GrubStreet community has continued to be there for writers of all ages and backgrounds — and you’ve ensured that we’ll have a lasting home for the literary arts for our community and our city.

We’ll be celebrating this incredible milestone at this year’s Lit Up virtual gala on September 29th, featuring Roxane Gay — we hope to see you there!

Thank you to the GrubStreet community for your generosity and your commitment to the future of this community.

You may have seen that all donors to the campaign will be recognized on a beautiful custom artwork that will live in the space. Work on the mural will now start next month, so if you haven’t yet made a gift to the campaign and would like to be listed, please click here. Your gift will support programming on the stage, assistive listening devices for the remaining classrooms, fellowships, transportation subsidies, and more for our community. Thank you!
