(Seaport) Intro to Rap & Reggaeton: Are We Consuming the Music? Or, Is the Music Consuming Us? with Leidy Quiceno

Do you love Rap & Reggaeton, but find yourself grappling with its content at times? In this restorative justice workshop, we'll embark on a journey through music history to ensure we are being informed consumers (& creators!) of these art forms.

(Seaport) Graphic-novelize your Life! with Jonathan Todd

In this workshop, you’ll get practice turning your angst—or joys—into an engrossing comic. You’re invited to bring your favorite autobiographical comics in for inspiration for yourself and others or peruse the work of cartoonists that the instructor—a Scholastic graphic novelist—loves.

(Zoom) [Dys]utopias: Writing and Worldbuilding in Genre Fiction with Mike Zendejas

This course aims to introduce themes and techniques of fiction used by marginalized authors (BIPOC, Women, Neurodiverse, LGBTQ) to re-imagine the world we live in and create utopias out of dystopias.
