Day 94: Hit it and get out

April 4 (1918) The painter Modigliani starts a potrait of his art dealer, the polish poet, Leopold Zborowski. After less than an hour he announces it is complete. “If you want me to paint more,” he tells his friend, “I’ll just ruin it.”

If you got what you came for in a piece of writing, eve n if you got it rather quickly...you might just be done.
